Bristol BayBristol bay in Alaska is about to be destroyed a new mine that is planed to be built. Fishing guides, anglers and hunters that use the area regularily are fighting to stop the "pebble mine" project. If the mine becomes a reality it will most likely destroy one of the last natural salmon river systems in the world. The river system is like a network of blood vessles in the landscape, providing the surrounding lands with nutrition in form of fish migrating upstream from the ocean. The salmon die after spawning, so the fish are not only food for the animals in the area, they are also providing nutrients for plantlife.

Illegal net fishing.Poachers are being photographed and their pictures are being put out on the net. Websites such as http://ulovlige.net and http://www.ulovligegarn.no are collecting and mapping reports from anglers of illegal fishing with nets and other equipment.
